Sound & Steel Printworks — Campaign Terms
Sound & Steel Printworks Co LLC, doing business as Sound & Steel Printworks ("Sound & Steel," "we," "us"), Chimacum, Washington.
1. What these terms cover
1.1These Campaign Terms govern fundraisers and Team / Group Orders run through fundraisers.soundandsteelprintworks.com ("campaigns"), in which supporters or participants buy from us directly. They are the separate campaign terms described in Section 1.5 of our Terms of Sale.
1.2Where these Campaign Terms say nothing, our Terms of Sale in force on the date we approve your campaign apply. Where the two conflict for a campaign, these Campaign Terms govern. Section 2.4 of the Terms of Sale ("There is no setup charge") does not apply to campaigns.
1.3The person who submits the application ("organizer") accepts these terms on behalf of the organization or group named in it and confirms they are authorized to do so.
2. Application and approval
2.1We review every application. We may approve it, ask for changes, or decline it.
2.2We may pause, suspend or remove a campaign that breaks the Campaign Guidelines in the application, or for any reason in Section 4.4 of the Terms of Sale.
3. Setup fee
3.1Every campaign, including a Team / Group Order, has a one-time $30 setup fee. We invoice it after we approve your application. Your campaign does not go live until it is paid.
3.2The fee covers setting up your campaign and placing the artwork you supplied, including one round of minor cleanup. Original design and redraws are quoted separately at our standard design rates (Terms of Sale Section 3.7).
3.3The fee may be paid by any method we accept. Once paid, it is not refundable. It is never taken out of your proceeds.
3.4While your campaign is live, you may ask from your dashboard for a printable flier showing your campaign link, QR code and/or a picture of your apparel. It is free. We’ll email you a print-ready PDF within 2 business days.
4. Prices and proceeds
4.1Fundraisers. Each item's supporter price is our charge plus your proceeds for the garment quality you chose: Good $5, Better $7, Best $10 per item. Prices are set when we set up your campaign. A later change to our prices does not change a live campaign.
4.2There is no upcharge for extended sizes. 2XL and up cost the same as every other size.
4.3Supporter prices are before sales tax. We collect Washington sales tax at checkout and remit it. Tax does not change your proceeds.
4.4A rush increase for a tight schedule changes our charge only. It never changes your proceeds per item.
4.5Team / Group Orders. Participants pay our price, with no markup. There are no proceeds and no payout.
5. Delivery
5.1You choose one method when you apply:
(a)Ships to each supporter. The buyer pays shipping at checkout: $8 per order plus $1 per item, anywhere in the U.S. (USPS Ground Advantage).
(b)One bulk delivery to you. We print each order as it comes in, hold it, and deliver your group's orders to one address at close. Flat $24.95 for up to 12 shirts, or flat $44.95 for 13–24 shirts. 25 or more is quoted with your estimate. Hoodies and sweatshirts count as 3 shirts each. The organizer pays the bulk delivery charge. Any buyer may choose to pick theirs up in Chimacum by appointment instead.
(c)Local pickup in Chimacum. We hold the finished apparel for collection at close. There is no shipping charge.
5.2Delivery dates are estimates made in good faith (Terms of Sale Section 7.2).
5.3Goods held for bulk delivery or pickup that are not collected are handled under Section 10 of the Terms of Sale (Unclaimed goods).
6. Closing a campaign
6.1Ordering closes on the close date you chose. We confirm every close; it is never automatic.
6.2Orders placed within 7 days after the close date still count.
6.3You may ask us in writing to close your campaign early. We confirm the new close date in writing.
7. Payout (fundraisers)
7.1Before your campaign goes live, you confirm in writing who the proceeds are paid to (usually your organization, not a person), the payment method, and where to send it. We pay that payee by that method. A change must reach us in writing from the organizer before the payout is sent.
7.2We aim to send your payout within 7 days after the 7-day late-order window ends. You receive a statement on your dashboard, as a PDF and by email. A campaign with no sales receives a $0 statement.
7.3A sales spreadsheet is included only if you asked for one before your campaign went live.
7.4Orders that arrive after a payout is sent are paid in an additional payout.
7.5Automatic split payouts are not available.
8. Refunds and canceled orders
8.1A canceled or fully refunded order does not count toward your proceeds.
8.2If an order is partly refunded, its proceeds are reduced in proportion to the refund, measured against the order's merchandise plus tax. Your statement marks those lines as approximated. A refund equal to the order's shipping charge does not reduce your proceeds.
8.3If refunds arrive after we have paid you, we absorb up to $50 per campaign in total. Above that, we may ask your organization to return the difference. We will not invoice it.
8.4Chargebacks are treated the same way as refunds under 8.1 to 8.3.
9. Names and privacy
9.1On a fundraiser, a supporter may keep their name private from the organizer. Your dashboard then shows "Anonymous supporter."
9.2On a Team / Group Order, the organizer sees each participant's name, item, size and whether it has shipped, so you know who is covered. There is no privacy option. Organizers never see buyers' contact details.
9.3Our Privacy Policy covers how we handle buyers' information.
10. Artwork and authority
10.1You confirm that you are authorized to use your organization's name, logos, crests and insignia, including any command, unit or ship insignia. You also confirm that you own, or have permission to use, every element you submit. Section 5 of the Terms of Sale applies to campaign artwork.
11. Your group's obligations
11.1Your group is responsible for any registration, tax, accounting and reporting that applies to it. Requirements vary by organization and activity. Review the Washington Secretary of State's charity guidance, and consult a qualified adviser when needed. We do not provide legal or tax advice.
12. Changes to these terms
12.1We may revise these Campaign Terms at any time. The version in force when we approve your campaign governs that campaign.
